Early 1900′s Minoru British Horse Racing Board Game With Lead Horses
MINORU Horse Racing Board Game from Early 1900
Minoru was the Seabiscit of the early 1900's, foaled in 1906 in Ireland, this Thoroughbred won 2 British Classic Races as well as an number of other events. He was so impressive that King Edward VII of England leased him to run as his horse.
The Box Top Art shows King Edward VII leading Minoru at one of the classics. We have had this board game for many years in our family.
The Minoru board game comes with its original box. It consists of a flexible mat/board, eight lead horses with jockeys in their small box, the instructions on how to play in several different languages, and a score card that is dated 1908.
The box has been flattened and most of the side panels are there (see pic). The horses are in fairly good condition with some chips in the paint, but nothing broken. The playing mat look to be if very good shape.
